Recently a secret tunnel connecting the Delhi Legislative Assembly to the Red Fort has been unearthed. It has been speculated that this tunnel may have been used during the British period to avoid retaliation during the movement of various freedom fighters. Now the mouth of the tunnel has been found but the government does not want to dig any further.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel also told that everyone knew about the existence of the hanging room there, but after the 75th Independence Day celebrations, no attempt was made to investigate it. He further said that the government intends to convert the room into a shrine for the freedom fighters of India.

1. Padmanabhaswamy Temple

This temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. In 2011, a case was registered against the Travancore royal family. He was accused of mismanaging the property of the Padmanabhaswamy temple, due to which the investigation was initiated.

After investigation, six dungeons were found, which attracted the attention of people around the world. What was discovered was beyond belief and shocked everyone. Gold statues, necklaces and other treasure coins worth $ 22 billion were found in it.

A story of Lord Padmanabhaswamy is also associated with such a room, due to which it was never opened. It is believed that if the door is opened, natural panic will arise. Although there is no proof of this and it is quite unscientific but the Government of India has not ordered to open it.


2. Charminar

It is said that the two largest monuments of Hyderabad, Charminar and Golconda Fort are interconnected through a hidden tunnel. Although the passage was never found in its proper location, there are over a dozen structures that support the existence of the 430-year-old monument.

In 2015, 2 new archways were found, which pointed to a tunnel 9 km long but that was destroyed due to negligence.


3. National Library of Kolkata

In the year 2010, archaeologists discovered a secret enclosure here. The Library of Kolkata itself is a 250-year-old building without any entrance. People have different stories about this place. Many believe that the library complex was previously used by the British overlords as a torture chamber or a treasury vault.

The Nawab of Bengal built the National Library in 1760, and it was converted into the Imperial Library in 1891. There were many speculations about the secret chamber then, but it was later discovered that it was a block filled with mud used by the architects to strengthen the building.


4. Amber Palace Jaipur

Amber Palace is called Amber Fort or Amber Fort. There is an open air tunnel connecting this palace to Jaigarh Fort. It is about 325 meters long and is said to have been built in the 18th century. It was opened to the public as a tourist destination in 2011.


5. Talatal Ghar


The rulers and their successors used it as a secret military base during the Ahom wars in the 18th century. It was a part of Rangpur Palace and is one of the most spectacular examples of Tai Ahom architecture. It has two secret tunnels and three floors beneath ground level that were used as exit routes during the Ahom wars.

One of the tunnels is 3 km long and connects to the Dikhow River and the other is a 16 km long escape route which leads to the Garhgaon Palace. These tunnels were used by the Ahom kings as an escape route during all their wars or it can be said that these routes were used to escape during enemy attack.

6. Pargwal Tunnel, Jammu


This tunnel was discovered by the Indian Army in 2014. It is a 20 feet deep tunnel, the end of which has not been found yet.

7. Red Fort

It is said that there is no more mysterious place in India than the Red Fort. It is a 17th-century fort built by Shah Jahan and also the place from where the Prime Minister delivers speeches on Independence Day every year.

It is said to be the location of numerous tunnels and secret passages discovered recently in the Delhi State Legislative Assembly. The fort also has a chamber made of Lahori bricks, which is suspected to house arms and ammunition that protected them from the sun. It also has a secret tunnel that connects the Mughal structure to the Yamuna River.
