Under 19 Cricket World Cup has been a very successful tournament for India. India has reached the final for the 7th time in the Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2020, out of which India has won the title 4 times and been runner-up 3 times.
In this year's semi-final, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 10 wickets. Seeing this match, it seemed that the coming cricket generation of Pakistan is as scared of the Indian team as its senior team.
It is quite surprising that India has not hosted any edition of the Under 19 Cricket World Cup so far. The Indian team won the first title of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2000. This tournament was won under the captaincy of Muhammad Kaif.
