When we eat an object, we experience the taste of this object only when it spreads on the tongue after dissolving it with saliva. The address of an object is salty or sweet tells us the front part of the tongue.

The back part of the tongue feels bitter taste and the side part feels sour taste. This is the reason that when we eat any sour thing, our molar part feels very sour and sometimes our teeth become so sour that we are not able to eat food with the help of molar.

Keep in mind that taste buds are not usually in the middle part of the human tongue, due to which we do not experience any kind of taste through this part.

How does taste know (How does Tongue Taste know?)

We get to know the taste of an object when we chew something with teeth, then some part of the object dissolves in the saliva and activates the taste buds. Food also causes a chemical reaction, which causes nerve impulses. This impulse reaches the taste center of the brain and we people experience taste.

It is not that a person experiences taste in all conditions at all times. The taste buds of a person become relaxed or inactive due to eating cold or hot things or if there is fever, due to which the taste is not experienced.

Apart from this, when the stomach gets upset or becomes constipated, then the dirt accumulates on the tongue, due to which the taste of food starts to change.

The reason for this is that due to the scum, the taste of food does not reach the taste buds and we cannot get the right taste of the food items.

taste-buds

A grown man has about 9000 taste buds on his tongue. Like other cells of the body, taste buds also form and are destroyed. About every 10 days, half of the new taste buds take the place of the old buds.

Due to the old age of man, these taste buds begin to relax and become inactive in old age. Perhaps this is the reason that in old age, the husband does not find out any shortcomings in the eating of his wife and there is more love between the two.

Hopefully, after reading this article, you must have understood how the human tongue tastes and how many kinds of tastes the tongue can experience?
