 PM CARES Fund allocates Rs. 201.58 Crore for set up of PSA Medical Oxygen Plant:

💠162 Pressure Swing Adsorption Oxygen Plant will be set up.

💠Motive behind this is to ensure uninterrupted supply of Oxygen to tackle COVID-19 like medical emergency situation.

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)

💠 PSA is the technology used to separate a particular component from air.

💠 This is the technology used to fill Oxygen cylinders to be used for medical purpose.

PM - CARES FUND

💠 Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund.

💠 During the Covid crisis the government realised the need to have a dedicated national fund to deal with any kind of emergency or distress situation like Covid. Hence, the PM care fund was set up.

💠 The fund has been set up as a public charitable trust not by an ACT of Parliament.

💠 No support is given from the budget The Fund consist entirely of voluntary contribution from individuals and organizations

💠 Donators get tax exemption

💠 PM : Ex-officio chairman

☑️Ex-officio Trustees : Ministers of Defence, Home Affairs and Finance

☑️ 3 nominated Trustees : Experts from health, science, social work law etc. selected by PM.

Floating Solar Energy Project

💠 The world's largest floating 600 MW solar energy project to be constructed at Omkareshwar dam on Narmada river.

💠 Omkareshwar dam is situated in Madhya Pradesh.

💠 Floating solar Panels also known as floating photovoltaic (FPV), that floats on top of a body of water.

💠 Solar panels are attached to a buoyant structure that keep them above the surface of water.

💠 Generally installed in a lake or basin because the waters are generally calmer than the ocean.

Supreme court clears the New Delhi Central Vista Project

💠 The central Vista is a grand redevelopment project for building a new parliament and a

common central secretariat and a new 3-km long Rajpath from Rashtrapati Bhawan to India gate. In fact it is a complete renovation of Lutyens Garden.

💠 Highlights of central Vista project.

➡️New Parliament Building Complex in triangular shape.

➡️Lok Sabha chamber will have a seating capacity of 888 MPs, while Rajya Sabha will have a seating capacity of 384 MPs.

UDYOG MARATHON BY DPIIT

💠 The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under Ministry of commerce and Industry is organizing 'Udyog Manthan'.

💠 Objective is to promote quality and productivity in Indian Industry in association with 'Quality Council of India', National Productivity

Advanced Biodigester Mk-II Technology

of Understanding) for implementation of Advanced Biodigester Mk-II technology.

💠 Biodigester is an indigenous, green and cost-effective technology for the treatment of human waste.

WORLD BANK Signs $ 105 mn Project to improve water ways

💠 The government of India, the government of west Bengal and WB signed $ 105 mn

project to improve inland water transport infrastructure in Kolkata, west Bengal.

💠 The infrastructure is to be built across the Hooghly river - a distributary of River Ganga.

💠 It will help develop the economy of the state with increased connectivity between the

hinterland and markets of Kolkata metropolitan årea.
